TAKE A LOOK AT THE LINE-UP OF SPEAKERS:

Friday, 9/17  4:30 PM-8:30PM - 4 hrs RM

Dr. Evan Gwilliam

Topic:

Managing Risk in the Chiropractic Office

In this riveting presentation, Dr. Gwilliam, Clinical Director for PayDC EHR Software, certified coder and auditor, will teach you how to avoid mistakes that cost you money and may be harmful to your practice.  You will be shown what types of things put you most at risk and learn how to easily satisfy documentation requirements so that you can focus on taking care of patients.

Sometimes a fear of what third parties might do can cause great anxiety.  You can give regulators, auditors, and reviewers what they are looking for so that they leave you alone and you can sleep well at night.  In this presentation you will get solutions to these kinds of problems associated with risk.

- 4 hours RM

Saturday 9/18  8:00AM-6:00PM (2) - 8 hrs CE

Dr. Mark Charrette

Topic:Common Subluxation Patterns and Adjustments for the Lower Extremities

This 8-hour presentation will begin with the basic neurology of extremity adjusting. This will explain the benefit of primarily utilizing indicators to adjust extremity articulations as opposed to symptomatology. This will be covered by the concept of “The Noisy Joint”. Then, utilizing motion x-rays, and video demonstrations, the adjustments for the typical pronated foot will be taught. These adjustments include the navicular, cuboid, cuneiforms, talus, calcaneous, and fibular head. Next, the indicators, listings and adjustments for the knee will be presented. The wrist extension thrust technique will be covered in great detail so participants will be able to duplicate the results. Following the foot and knee, a targeted rehab exercise will be shown. The final portion of the seminar will consist of the indicator, adjustment and rehab exercise for the typical hip. This course will be presented in a workshop/hands-on deliberate practice format utilizing multiple repetitions.

You’ll leave with effective adjustments you can “use on Monday morning” that will increase the positive outcomes with your patients

Robert Lardner

Topic: An introduction to DNS and its role in Rehabilitation

DNS is based on developmental kinesiology, which is the science of human motor development during the first year of life, from birth to walking. During that time span, the human brain and musculoskeletal system cooperate to overcome gravity and establish posture and locomotion (walking). DNS combines manually assisted exercises with reflex stimulation to address dysfunction, misalignment, loss of control and postural deviations. Based on the patient’s condition and overall movement patterns, the DNS therapist selects a position from early development where proper support though the hip, shoulders and spine can be established.
